Impose cap on subsidised urea bags based on farm land size: CACP to Govt
The Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) has recommended that the government impose a cap on the number of subsidised urea bags supplied to farmers based on the farms' size. The CACP report highlighted the unbalanced use of fertilisers in India, with some districts overusing fertilisers, while others have low consumption leading to reduced productivity. The CACP also suggested promoting the use of nano fertilisers and launching awareness campaigns about balanced fertiliser use.
