Doctor's suicide case: Court acquits husband; citing 'benefit of doubt'
A doctor in Delhi has been acquitted of charges relating to his wife's suicide due to inconsistencies in the statements of prosecution witnesses. The court found that the prosecution failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove the accusations of harassment and cruelty for dowry, as well as abetment of suicide. The judge concluded that the accused successfully rebutted the presumption of law and therefore acquitted him of all charges.
