Amarnath Yatra has drawn over 4.28 lakh pilgrims so far, surpassing last year's footfall
More than 4.28 lakh pilgrims have participated in the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. The pilgrimage is due to end on August 31, having begun on July 1 this year. Although the daily numbers have decreased, the yatra, which has been free from incidents, saw the arrival of foreign pilgrims from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Nepal and the United States. There have been 44 deaths related to health reasons while no deaths occurred last year. The pilgrimage has a total duration of 62 days this year.
