Boost for Uddhav Thackeray, HC rules in favour of Rutuja Latke, pulls up BMC

The Bombay HC on Thursday directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to accept the resignation of its staffer Rutuja Latke, the wife of late MLA Ramesh Latke, who is the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction's nominee for the Andheri (East) assembly bypoll on November 3. The letter of acceptance of her resignation has to be issued to her by the competent authority by 11 am on Friday, the court said.
