Social media star, J&K's controversial traffic chief shunted out after spat with mayor

One of Jammu & Kashmir's most controversial police officers of the recent past, Basant Rath, the state's traffic chief whose "unorthodox ways" of dealing with traffic violations and violators -- many of them VIPs -- earned him bouquets and some brickbats, has suddenly been shunted out after a spat with Srinagar’s new mayor Junaid Matoo.
