CISF will now handle security for Srinagar, Jammu and Leh airports

​​Given the rising threat perception, the Home ministry earlier this week cleared the long-pending proposal for these airports which currently handle over 50 lakh passengers annually. They are under the security cover of J&K state police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
