Treat one-sided laudatory news reports as paid news: EC to SC

The Election Commission has told the Supreme Court that “laudatory” news reports in which a political leader boasts of his achievements and appeals to the electorate to cast votes in his favour should be treated as paid news, even if there is no documentary evidence to show that money was paid.
