Kalyan MP Shrikant Shinde initiated the deep clean mission, a comprehensive cleanliness campaign in Kalyan and Ulhasnagar. Shinde instructed the UMC Chief to clear the road and ensure proper cleaning. The campaign, started by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, aims to clean roads, footpaths, public toilets, parks, and playgrounds, and take action against abandoned vehicles and unlicensed billboards. . Cleaning of public toilets, maintenance of parks and playgrounds, creating hawker-free zones and debris-free areas and the removal of networks of cables and wires are also on the list.

Sindhura Reddy has started a mainstream CBSE school inclusive to children with special needs and a special school called Teach and Learn Child Development Centre. Seema Shet co-founded Beyond Spectrum, a special school in Manikonda. Other parents complain about the lack of a special education wing in schools. The duo's schools provide shadow teachers, therapists, and individual education plans. Therapies like speech, occupational, and behavioral therapies are conducted for kids.

ED arrests a builder who took Dawood gang help for his projects

Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrests builder Vijay Machindar of Ornate Spaces in a money laundering case. Machindar allegedly sold off seven flats booked in Grove Tower in Oshiwara to others. He received Rs 450 Crores from Punjab National Bank and other bankers for the project. Machindar also raised around Rs 70 crores by selling around 70,000 sq. feet area to 34 purchasers. He allegedly took help of Dawood gang to get back allotment letters of 34 flats in Grove Tower.

From Wednesday to Friday, between 10 am to 5 pm, the Indian army has opened a help desk for the public to avail a limited number of passes on first come first base, for the upcoming Army Day events. The help desk has been opened at Surya Khel Parisar-I—also known as Butchery ground—on Cariappa road in Cantonment area, adjacent to Army Public School (LBS Marg). According to defence PRO, “One has to carry official identity proof of himself/herself to avail the passes.”

'Har Ghar Jal': 5.33 crore rural houses yet to get tap water connection, says RTI reply

Around 5.33 crore houses in rural areas of India have not yet been provided tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission-'Har Ghar Jal'. The worst affected states are Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. The government has supplied tap water to 13.91 crore rural houses so far, out of a total of 19.25 crore houses. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has provided this data in response to an RTI application. The 'Har Ghar Jal' scheme aims to provide tap water to every village household by 2024.
